I just called the Humane Society and I feel okay with the whole thing.

She said it's generally well-controlled because the dogs are not allowed off the leash - there are also volunteers *everywhere* to help maintain control and help us if Murph starts to freak out. She also said if he doesn't want to walk, we can stroll around and see the vendors while everyone else is walking. It sounds like it'll be a really fun day.
