It's kind of a strange situation.

They had added Anquan Boldin to play the slot, something he did pretty well last year.
Now, they traded Watkins, who has practiced for several years with Taylor, only four weeks prior to the season. The guy they bring in is good, but he will need a while to build a rapport with a QB who could get benched in two months.
And then they downgraded at corner, too.
So, their draft will be terrific next year, but they kind of punted on 2017.
