If our economy tanks, he'll either get impeached (which probably happens anyway) or killed.

America's in real trouble right now, the worst we've been since the 60s. And I suspect the causality is similar. Some people don't want to have a better understanding of the world around them. Broadcast tv became ubiquitous in the mid to late 50s, and now the internet's hit that level since about 2010-2012.
