GoT thoughts for someone just reading along with you guys (spoils / spec)

So, if Jon is the rightful king, but we're 7 years into many people wanting that throne...and the White Walkers are there....
I think it's more than feasible that Martin's either going to sign off for the tv show, or in his books (ha!) that the humans lose to the Walkers.
Right now, it appears Dany and Jon are both aligned vs Cersei; but the humans are starting to push toward the WW war...
but if Jon and Dany have a falling out over who gets the throne; given she's ready to be Queen...humanity divided collapses in on itself and the Walkers win.
Any other story, I'd say that doesn't happen...with this, and Martin's enjoyment in subverting the norm...I'd say it's very realistic.
