Maybe because he did have him out in front of the pitch but I'm used to seeing very hard pitching with ridiculous curves.

A wiffle ball can move an insane amount thanks to the holes in the ball. Curve balls that start behind the hitter and still hit the strike zone on the outside is common. Fastballs look like they're 100mph because of the distance so it was a little odd to see such a slow pitch. Maybe they were just messing around and having a friendly game without putting in full effort.

Either way, it was a cool play.
