You'll need to delete your hunter to avoid having one.

You'll have your original characters when you log on, I believe. They just won't have any of their stuff.
Why the hate for hunters? In case you missed it, golden gun now seems to be the best way to generate orbs. Arcstrider is by far the best at add control. Well, those that can be killed with a fully charged melee.
