If they didn't lock it in I could do it myself and I wouldn't have to go to a store.

I could also replace my battery when it's dying and have a fully charged phone. No need to carry around a battery pack and have my phone plugged in for an hour or two.
I have three spare batteries for my phone and they weigh nothing to carry around. Easy peasy for me.

They need to stop locking everything down.
