my whole IT dept is honestly a nightmare. today it took three people 25 minutes to get a conference room's tech to work.

can you connect wirelessly?
"no, there's an active ticket from two months ago about my wireless projecting being broken."
can you use the room computer rather than your laptop?
"it won't let me log in. has the login protocol changed?"
can you use HDMI to connect?
"the computer you assigned me doesn't have HDMI."
we should reboot again.
and then as I was leaving the meeting, super flustered over all of that, I closed my laptop --
OOPS! I forgot I have a ticket out for "my laptop shuts off when I close it no matter what I tell it to do" so I lost everything that happened in the meeting anyway.
but don't worry. our IT costs are only $10k/person/year so it's not like we're being fleeced...
