no, not you, everyone who played D1 rushed to get to a hgh enough light level so they could run the raid when released.

Bungie set it up so this would be possible, which is fine, except for the fact that you have little place to go when you hit that light cap. You can always grind for gear, but there is simply nothing in the vault that is worth that grind right now. There is no Gjallarhorn, no Fatebringer, no Vision of Confluence, no Doctrine of Passing.
They did this I am sure to make PVP more balanced, along with nerfing the recharge rates on grenades and supers.
