I said the same thing about 3/4 the the way through the episode when (spoilers)

they started doing Michael "flashbacks" with the same effect (white fadein) as the previous 4 characters
I wasn't quite sure though by the end with the reset and the lie to his superior. It seems like too obvious of a twist but...
