Step 1: Convert the MP3 to an AAC. Step 2: Right click, get info, and adjust the start/stop times manually. Step 3: Right click, convert to AAC file

It ends up creating a .m4a file of the time you specified.

Next step: Rename the .m4a extension to .m4r, then drag-and-drop into iTunes. It'll create a Ringtones folder, and sync the file to your iPhone.

The only problem is, I wanted to use it for text messages/emails, not just phone calls. heh. Haven't figured that out yet.
