the called to say they broke up on the way down there, tore up the papers figuring that would be an instant annulment, and wanted me to tear up the paper I keep as a record.
a couple years later the woman realized that military spouses have great health coverage and that had become very important to her suddenly. yeah not a good idea to get married again without divorcing the previous wife first.
