This is true, right? From a broad cultural perspective: "Nobody ever learned anything from a lack of information."

I'm in a minor skirmish of disclosure philosophy ("There's no point in explaining why because they'll never accept the reason." "Then what's the harm in explaining it?")

I want to make sure if I use the counter argument that I won't get stuffed by some glaring example of say Thomas Edison figuring everything out from a basis of ignorance.
