That's a shame. He worked at the Refinery right from the beginning and *was* on call at a firefighter.

Each of the four shifts had their own fire unit and every year they'd have a competition and demonstration when families would be allowed in to the refinery to watch.
He was also a member of the volunteer fire department in Medina.
