the armor drop rate brings up another issue about d2 (maybe issue is a strong word).

you really need to have a complete set of gear dedicated to each Special type (Arc, Void, Fire), excluding the influence of exotic pieces. This is due to the Mods and how they work. It isnt practical to have one set of gear and to try to switch out the mods to get better recharge rates on grenades, etc.
sure you could do a generic set that only has weapon reload bonuses, but that will not be advantageous in most things.
I would love to get a complete set and use it for say nightstalker, but with the drop rate being so lackluster, and since they have a complete set available (unlike the old IB which you knew would only drop certain pieces), that makes it even a higher grind level.
