He lost control at precisely the wrong moment in terms of NFL rules. He didn't have the ball back until he was already out of bounds.

That's crap, the ruling was crap and it was a touchdown. I don't know what a catch, a fumble or a TD are anymore. -- nm

I have more of a problem with Ty Montgomery's TD overrule.

IMO, he didn't lose possession unless ball touches the ground or is taken from him.
