Chuy's still gets great reviews. It's a chain now, not just a multi-location Austin restaurant like when I lived there, but I bet it's still worth it. 1728 Barton Springs Rd is the one probably closest to you. A little said that they're a national chain now as I expect that could impact quality, but reviews are still good. That said a Mom/Pop Tex-Mex place is likely to be amazing so take a chance.

For your (non-breakfast) taco needs, Torchy's Tacos is great. Google the secret menu as well before you go. Locations all over. Nearest you:
1311 S First (this one is a food trailer)
1822 S Congress
2801 S Guadalupe (near that burnt orange abomination of school)
