What I find most ironic about the Trump calling fallen soldier families is

that these men died on the 4th; he made his comments on the 16th and at that point wasn't even sure the letters had been mailed out.

Given Trump only comments about things his opponents are supposedly doing (that he assuredly is), he'd not yet written those letters at the time of this comment.
