Question on followups

as my last teaching position was wrapping up I asked my principal if she'd be willing to write a reference letter for me that I'd need to apply for jobs in NS. She said absolutely and please forward me some things you'd like to mention in it. I did, and then left it for a couple weeks. Due to bureaucratic snafus, I wasn't able to continue helping them out by subbing after my contract ended so I haven't been in the school for the last three weeks. Last week I sent a follow-up asking if she was still able to write the letter. No response but she's notoriously bad at replying to emails and a busy person. What's my next step for following up and when? Call, tomorrow-ish?
