What makes you think that?

He has one more season of House of Cards, a show that has gotten it an him an Emmy nomination every(?) year. He was in a much loved movie this year. He has two more movies scheduled to come out this year (or maybe next year) and a Gore Vidal biopic (with him as Gore Vidal) scheduled for next year.

That doesn't seem like the resume of someone whose career is coming to an end to me, but I could be mistaken.
