Groiny, from B2. Sunday night was a combination of that and my other dog reacting.

Our trainers suggested we keep the dogs separate for the first couple of days so the puppy would bond more with us than our dog (making it easier for us to train him rather than our dog training him). Initially the plan was for us to board our dog for a couple of nights, but they got kennel cough at the place we board him so that was out. Trying to keep them apart was just ridiculous. Our older dog knew something was going on, but not what it was so he was totally on edge and kept scratching at the door every 5 minutes, all night to go see. The puppy (for the first time without his litter mates) was not happy being in his crate and cried a lot. They met in the morning (we couldn't stop it any more). It was fine. But the little one still doesn't like being in his crate alone. That's going to be the hard transition.
