Public events are the best use of Wardcliffe Coil.

You can use it to turn almost any event heroic without any help.
Fallen glimmer extraction you don't need it for, but it can one-shot the things you need to destroy. Your setup might be better for Servitor as you don't need to reload. I don't know about the Cabal one where you need to shoot the ship. The one with the vents it can one shot them, though. You can actually start that one by running up and shooting the a vent right away, destroying it and having 3 chances to destroy the other 2. It can take out the blight pretty easily in the taken event. It may not help with vex plate event, but Rat King is great there.
