BF2 launched with the usual EA microtransaction BS, but made it so much worse by saying players will have a "sense of pride and accomplishment"

the microtransaction system is crazy - credits, cards, loot boxes, crafting.. the amount of gameplay to get these is crazy. they also can give you a significant edge in play. hours played also seem to have nothing to do with quality hours, so you can just grind through. In addition, major characters have to be unlocked.. Darth Vader would take about 40 hours of play to get enough credits. But like always you can buy your way out of it.
Their community manager went on reddit to address it and said the above.. it's now the most downvoted comment in reddit history.
