But I need a new phone sooner than later but to get one through Koodo I'd need to switch plans which to get close to them same would increase my monthly to $104.00/month.

I'll need to suck it up and just buy a new phone outright

We got phones last June and we were able to keep our plans, since they were higher than $40. YMMV of course. They have this phone on a decent promo. -- (link) - Shaun Nov 23, 07:51
