Since there does not seem to be any here today, I will offer my opinion.

It seems that the only questions anyone should be required to answer are those germane to the case. Otherwise they could start asking you about anything.

As part of providing identity, the lawyer can probably ask you to confirm information they already have, but I don't see how they could ask you to provide anything that is not pertinent to the case.
