Though I think it was inevitable that tax cuts would win out over other factors, if not on this bill then another.

I agree. The debt hawks should have killed this. They were bought off. When I was a conservative I remember National Debt being one of the pillars

Precisely. Folks are already setting out the hypocrisy parade of Sens. Toomey, Cornyn, etc. At least Sen. Corker stood by his past commitments.
