If it had been a foregone conclusion, then the vote would've happened on Wednesday or Thursday, rather than the wee hours of this morning.

And there is a chance -- a wee bit of a small chance, but still a chance -- that the House will not adopt the Senate bill, the legislation will go to Conference Committee, and then will get stalled.

We'll have to see what next week brings.
