isn't even that and moreso is a moment of why the film is great: The billboard burning scene. Where did Frances McDormand get that fire extinguisher that she just happened to have with her? :) Does she always just happen to keep a full sized fire extinguisher in the front cab of her car just in case... I feel like I should have seen a Chekov's gun edit where it shows that she has that thing with her all the time.... At the same time, that scene with her on top of the second billboard took on an operatic quality for the whole film. These characters became larger than life for me right around that moment. So it is a great moment.
I also agree with you guys about the sheriff. And the sequences after that with Harrelson's voice overs were just so good.
