Yup but Machado can still be had when he's a FA. Even with this deal for Stanton the Yankees will be under the cap for next year.

They have a large chunk of money coming off the books so this deal doesn't break their plans to get under the cap.
The Yankees aren't likely done dealing this year and will still have room to add a big contract next year.
