the people writing this stuff are not Star Wars fans.
There are major exits from how the Star Wars universe works.
Rey in the first movie, learns the force in 30 minutes and kicks Kylo Ren's ass. As Han Solo said, "That's not how the force works". Luke trains with Yoda for days to lift a tiny rock.
He's with Ben Kenobi in the falcon practicing with that laser ball thing.
She's grabbing light sabers out of the snow passed Kylo Ren who's also trying to force pull it to him.
They make HUGE detours from the original concepts.
I do not mind going into other realms but you cannot take what we already know and change it to something different.
Midichlorians was a stupid stunt Lucas pulled when he changed what we knew to be true.
The basics of the universe have to stay static, and within those rules you are allowed to create stories.
