is in how he made Kylo Ren a compelling character. Ren has pretty much been an internet punchline (emo Darth Vader) since TFA to the point where I thought some intensive rewrites would be in order to introduce another villain we could take seriously.
An equal amount of props to Adam Driver, who is arguably the best thing about the new movie.
