OK, so we should end the mortgage deduction for high value houses. I could be on board for that (like I said, I'd be on board to end it entirely). But the question then becomes - to what end? What are you going to do with that money? Is it deficit reduction? OK. Benefits for lower income earners? better. Tax breaks to corporations and millionaires? Fuck off with that. It's the "They're booing Shakespeare!" of tax policy.
