I get what they're doing. It was almost the anti-Empire in many ways. It feels they're really trying to strike out from the "just a retread of EP 4-6" and sent the SW Universe up for the future by closing the book on the Skywalker story.
It was a bit long and too many red herrings but had some really great moments.
