You read or hear about dumb ass Commissioner requests but never really believe it will happen to you....

Scenario:
My big cash league (we're talking $500 difference between 1st and 2nd) plays its finals on Week 15 to avoid Christmas. I get a text at 3:58pmEST from one of the finalists.
He had left Greg Olsen on his IR and because his game was playing, that froze all roster moves for the team because "You have an invalid player on the IR."
Buddy was starting Chris Hogan and was texting me to manually override the block to enable him to grab a wide receiver off the wire and insert him in Hogan's place.
"I'd hate to love the championship due to this error."
I was floored. He works as a prison guard and his excuse was that they aren't allowed phones on shift and he had no idea that Hogan would be out when his shift began.
I refused to adjust. Monitoring starts is an owners' job and Hogan was questionable on Saturday and Olsen was absolutely starting. He was less than pleased. I couldn't believe anyone's head would ever go there. If you have to ask the Commissioner to override something in order to win, that might be a clue that it isn't a part of the rules.
