Every entry since the 1980s has diminished the cinematic universe in its own way, though I find the throughlines interesting.

I love Rey as a character but The Force Awakens didn't do it for me. I wasn't impressed by any of the characters in Rogue One, but I find it to be the most interesting for depicting events from another angle.
