Seems inevitable. There was a lot of drama around Moonves and the Redstones but now it cannot be avoided.

CBS was the most profitable and successful of the two and the only reason CBS would be merged with Viacom would be to bring some of Moonves’s magic to Viacom. CBS had no interest in diluting their power and burdening themselves with Viacom. But with the mega-mergers happening, CBS and Viacom need to act or they’ll be picked off themselves.
