They're a young couple and probably very inexperienced. So when there was an upcoming event that the girls were supposed to be participating in and we didn't hear about it, I can see how they dropped the ball.
"We posted it on the bulletin board!"
But people drop off their kids and don't even come inside. You can't expect a kid to notice these things and even if they do, the kid would probably expect mom/dad to already know about it.
"We mentioned it in your invoice."
...invoice? We auto-pay monthly. I'm not sure we even get an invoice.
You know, you've got our e-mail address. It's for this kind of stuff. Used to be, we'd get e-mails telling us of upcoming events. Maybe you guys need to do that.
But they have a newborn baby. Called them up to try to resolve this issue (the girls need uniforms that nobody ordered, because nobody knew) and the dad's on the phone with a screaming baby.
OK, you guys are a little overwhelmed. I understand. Don't worry about it. We'll figure this out. Oh... and the baby has brain cancer..? Well, shit.
