But all kidding aside, I'll bet it was a tough decision for any partnership in any firm to take on -- regardless of the outcome.

And that kind of makes me sad. I've always thought Ted Olson was a fantastic human being. Didn't always agree with him legally or politically, but he always struck me as one of those incredibly decent people.

He deserved better than an asshole for a wife (God rest her soul).
