We were early on the bandwagon with him, as we used to champion The Station Agent back in the day. I loved him on Nip-Tuck, but I worried that he'd be typecast his entire career due to his size. With Game of Thrones, he managed to find a role that reversed the typecasting in his favor. And you're absolutely right about that scene. It's the most passionate Dinky will ever be about anything, because it's his life story.
There's a moment in Hardhome toward the end of season 5 that's the best thing they've ever done or ever will do. After that, Tyrion's jury trial is probably the scene I've re-watched the most.
