I'm finally getting around to catching up on Oscar nominated movies. This is my first one. I hope they get better.

It's an alright movie but there's not much there. It seems like an "art for art's sake" kind of film. If I had watched in the theater I would've been checking my watch about half way in. The music annoyed me at times, too. And what the hell was that musical number at the end? The ending after that left me unsatisfied. I found I didn't care if she was alive or not.
