... just my luck that I’ve landed a great remote job, could buy a house anywhere, but only want to buy one within approximately 20km.

Actually, I want to buy a 5 acre hobby farm with a cape cod style main house and a converted barn to use as an office, but also want to stay within the school district. Entirely impossible.
