for me: it tried to cover too much, and a lot of things ended up getting lost. also: Sam Rockwell. he was good, didn't appreciate his arc. (spoils)

I don't think McDonagh was going for a redemptive arc with Rockwell, but it ends up taking an awfully sympathetic view of him. it humanises and to a certain extent excuses his racism and violence, but never really gives any time for his victims.
actually kind of similar to my problem with I, Tonya, now that I think about it.
