Thx. I was pretty sure that was the answer. But I figured there might be some weird reason Edmonton would be better.

Better road or such. You confirmed what I would have guessed. thx
Free air tickets have pretty much locked us in that this will happen this year.
Also the cool thing. Save 4 days of driving up and back means we can spend an extra day or two in the parks.
I have found Airbnbs for as little as $69 a night so we can have a kitchen and cook our meals to save money.
