When I see the product page on Wal-Mart it doesn't show any brand but DC. I've never heard of The Rival Company so I can't say anything about them.

If Amazon is selling it as well then it's likely the exact same product.
Knowing that it's made for Wal-Mart I still wouldn't buy it. I don't trust products made for or sold by Wal-Mart. I don't trust their quality control.
You get what you pay for runs through my head all the time.
