the years I've bought appliances at Walmart, I've *never* had an issue. Not once.

Why would I pay more to buy the same item from a "better" or more reputable store? (I mean, one can choose to not buy from Walmart for a variety of reasons and that's your prerogative, but it's not like Walmart sells lower quality Brand Name X items and another store gets the higher quality version of the same item.)
