“I got a voicemail from the IRS today that said “...you will be under custody by the local cops as there are 4 serious allegations pressed on your name at this moment. We would request you to get back to us so that we can discuss about this case before taking any legal action against you. The number to reach us is 331-462-2307. I repeat 331-462-2307. Thank you…”
Guys, I’m really worried about this. I’m so worried I’ve now called 331-462-2307 (using *67, of course, so they can’t see my number) by my count 187 times since about 9:40 AM. Man, I love redial.
Is it common for the IRS to curse repeatedly at you in heavily accented English? Or to beg you to stop calling? Or to claim they can’t hear you? Or to angrily threaten you? Or to literally just sing into the phone? Guys, I’m really concerned about my taxes! Why won’t they discuss my case with me? I don’t wa t to get arrested by the cops! Why are the three same IRS agents I’m getting every time (man, they must have a small department) mostly just hanging up on me now?
Guys, I’d advise anyone with time and speed dial to call 331-462-2307 (don’t forget to dial *67 in front of it!) and inquire about their taxes.
The IRS would really appreciate us being proactive and flooding them with calls.
It’s the least we can do as citizens.
I’m on call 188 now.“
