So I just noticed my oldest daughter's school is planning a field trip to Washington D.C. next year. Does this itinerary sound...insane?

just looking at Tuesday makes me exhausted. (how can you visit the Smithsonian in one day, let alone one afternoon?!?)

History, the American History Museum and the Holocaust Museum (subject to appointment). Dinner. This evening you will visit the Korean, Viet Nam, Lincoln and World War II Memorials.
WEDNESDAY
7:00 AM Breakfast. This morning you will travel to Gettysburg, PA where you will visit the
Civil War Museum (time permitting) and tour the Battlefield making stops at
Devils Den and Little Round Top (weather permitting). Lunch. This afternoon
you will continue your trip to Lancaster, PA where you will visit an Amish farm
and home, tour the countryside and learn the way of life of the Amish Community.
Dinner, then return to Washington and your hotel.
THURSDAY
7:00 AM Breakfast, then check out of your hotel. This morning you will visit the FDR and Jefferson Memorials, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (subject to
