Sorry, one more question. I’m obsessing over this stupid flight. Nearly every seat on this flight is open. Flight is in 1 week, so soon.

You can select continue without selecting seats. But to guarantee certain ones, there are those fees. I get it. Sometimes can move after takeoff if not full. -- nm*

Check the flight on other dates, see how full they are. Chance you could luck out. Also can always add reservation later if you routinely check iirc. -- nm*
