Well, this was a fun afternoon....

A couple of years back we lost a long-time member of the Arch. Soc. His long time assistant and caregiver called us and said there was a collection of artifacts in Tad's garage that would go to the dump unless somebody claimed them.

This material was from a university field school that Tad had run for years and he'd left instructions that the university would have first choice of the collection. They declined :/
We brought it to our curation building and are trying to find a museum to accept it - likely a cultural museum in the Bishop area where it came from. Meanwhile it's been in open boxes in a garage for 30-40 years. We've decided it would be best to record and re-box it before delivering to its new home.

I've spent the afternoon shaking rat turds off paper field bags and recording and re-boxing them. We've all been told if we have to go to a doctor with cold or flu symptoms we should ask them to test for Hanta Virus :/

I should have taken photos - I will on our next work day.
