I don't care what the pundits say, watching films is an emotional experience first and foremost. Each one's emotional baggage interferes in how you feel about any given material.

Two recent films that I'm personally very much against the grain won Best Writing Oscars yesterday. Neither touched me at all. (And of course they were #1 and #2 at the Calvins as well.)
